John Hakim is taking over as General Manager of Saga Communications’ Charleston operation, moving up from Director of Sales after five years in that job. He fills the seat Paul O’Malley vacated in July when he rose to a corporate revenue role.
Hakim succeeds O’Malley, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Revenue Development. Saga’s Charleston group includes 92.5 Kickin’ Country (WCKN), Mix 95.9 (WMXZ), Star 99.7 (WXST), 101.7 Chuck FM (WAVF), Heaven 1390 (WSPO-AM), and 99.3 The Box (WMXZ-HD2).
