MIW Bringing Radio Talent and PDs Together to Talk AI Tools

How can radio talent use AI without automating the personality out of the show? Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio is putting that question to working broadcasters, with on-air hosts and programmers sharing how the tools fit into their everyday workflows.

The webinar, “AI for Content Creators,” takes place Wednesday, October 28, at 2p ET/11a PT. Designed for on-air personalities, producers, programmers, and content creators, the session will cover how AI can help radio professionals work more efficiently, develop ideas, and connect with audiences across broadcast, digital, social, and podcast platforms.

MIW Board Member Meg Dowdy, Townsquare Media Regional Content Director and National Contesting Director, will moderate.

Panelists include Audacy’s Andre Yancey, Brand Manager of Hip-Hop 102 JAMS in San Francisco and Assistant Brand Manager of 94.7 The Block (WXBK) in New York; Lauren “Lo” Sessions, host of The Lo Show on KKBQ in Houston and a 2026 CMA Major Market Personality of the Year finalist; and Carolyn McArdle and Cort Johnson, co-hosts of The Morning Breeze on iHeartMedia San Francisco’s 98.1 The Breeze (KISQ), who will discuss how they use AI together as a morning show team.

Topics include brainstorming content ideas, researching and preparing for shows and interviews, repurposing on-air content for social and podcast platforms, creating promotional content, streamlining repetitive tasks, and keeping an authentic voice while using AI. The 45-minute panel will be followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A.

Registration is open now.

MIW Board President Sheila Kirby said, “AI is quickly becoming another tool in the content creator’s toolbox, but knowing how to use it effectively while maintaining the authenticity and personality that make great radio compelling is critical. This webinar brings together talented broadcasters who are actively experimenting with these tools and can share practical, real-world examples of where AI can add value to the creative process.”

Dowdy commented, “AI can help content creators move faster, experiment more and get more mileage out of the work they’re already doing, but the goal isn’t to automate the personality out of radio. We want this session to give attendees practical ideas they can start experimenting with right away while showing how AI can support creativity rather than replace it.”
