The former Beasley Boston PD is now the Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Detroit, overseeing WDVD-FM (Hot AC) and New Country 93.1 WDRQ-FM (Country).

At the 2019 Barrett Sports Media Summit in Los Angeles, BSM President Jason Barrett is making sure the contributions of a select few members are permanently remembered. The first award to be announced by BSM is The Jeff Smulyan Award, named after WFAN's founder and the CEO of Emmis Communications.

Longtime Austin radio personality David Anderson passed away last Tuesday at 73 due to cancer. Anderson's career spanned more than four decades in Texas broadcasting. He is also being remembered for his volunteer work and deep commitment to philanthropy.

Martin Coyle has joined Entercom’s senior leadership team as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Coyle comes to Entercom from XL Catlin, where he served as Vice President of Human Resources for their Global Technology organization.

The Center for Sales Strategy's sales performance agency LeadG2 has promoted both Emily Hartzell and Maryanne McWhirter to the positions of Vice President/Senior Director. In their new roles, Hartzell and McWhirter will jointly manage LeadG2.

Eastlan Ratings has hired Frank Kulbertis as Client Services Director. Kulbertis previously served as GM for the five-station cluster owned by Redwood Empire Stereocasters in Santa Rosa.

Programming veteran Sean Demery, who's been with Alpha Media since March of 2017, has died. In late 2017, Sean collapsed with a brain stem stroke. He died from complications from that stroke.

Kary “Doc” Bowser is joining Bob & Sheri as Associate Producer. Bowser comes over from WLNK in Charlotte where he produced the afternoon drive show.
