Longtime host Gary Shores posted on the K100 (WKKO) Toledo Facebook page that he's leaving radio because of his lung disease. Shores has certainly battled adversity recently. In November his wife of 43 years died from cancer. His longtime radio partner, Harvey Steele died in 2017.
Alpha Host Arrested For Possession Of Methamphetamine
The Sun-Herald in Biloxi has the details about WCPR-FM host Denver Crabb who was arrested Monday morning by Biloxi police. The methamphetamine charge is a felony and Crabb's bond was set at $5,000. The paper reports Crabb also had two misdemeanor warrants.
iHeart Promotes Hyland To Market President
Aaron Hyland has been promoted to Market President for iHeartMedia Baltimore. The Baltimore cluster includes WPOC-FM, WZFT-FM, WQSR-FM, and WCAO-AM. Hyland will also continue to oversee sales for the Washington, DC, region as Regional Senior VP. Region President Michael Preacher was handling Market President duties for both DC and Baltimore.

Peter Burton has been named Market Manager of the cluster, replacing Dennis Gwiazdon, who's out after a little over a year. Burton most recently served as the COO at Converze Media in Huntington Beach, CA.
