Alpha Media-Columbia is moving Brown (yes, it's just Brown) from his PD position in Louisville to become the new Operations Manager in Columbia, SC.

For the second straight year, two-time Gracie award winner Shelli Sonstein — longtime co-host of Q104.3’s Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show — led the # 1 fundraising team in the 2019 NYC Tunnel to Towers Climb.

Tim Hurley will join Mornings with Angie on Go Country 105/Los Angeles, beginning Monday July 1. Hurley is a singer/songwriter out of Playa del Rey, CA, and he'll join Angie Fitzsimmons on the show.

Baltimore Hits station Z104.3 has recruited Shelby Sos as Evening On-Air Personality. She joins the Baltimore market from Washington D.C., where she most recently served as an Assistant Producer for The Kane Show on HOT 99.5. 

Chuck “DZL” Thompson has been named Program Director for Country station 96.9 The Kat/Charlotte. Thompson is a seasoned media veteran and has been with iHeartMedia since 2002.

Hubbard Radio WIRK (Country) has tapped Country Radio vet Tim Leary to wake-up West Palm Beach.   Leary will pair with WIRK’s   Chelsea Taylor. Tim moves to West Palm from Hubbard Radio Seattle’s KNUC “98-9 The Bull”, and prior to that spent seven years as morning host at WUBB in Savannah.

Brian Thomas is joining Townsquare as Operations Manager in Grand Rapids and to oversee the company’s 17 Classic Hits stations. Thomas has been PD at WCBS-FM New York, WLS-FM Chicago, KFRC San Francisco, B97 New Orleans, and most recently Cumulus/Atlanta.

Mike “Swift” Powell is the new Program Director for 93.9 WKYS-FM, replacing Joshua “J1” Raiford. Powell, who's from New Orleans, has 15 years programming experience in multiple formats including Urban, Rhythmic CHR, Top 40, Alternative Rock, and Urban AC.

And they're four native Chicagoans -- two of whom are present-day voices, while the other two served at the station for 60 years and 52 years respectively.

Bob Thornton will fill the newly created position of SVP of Programming and Technology at Stephens Media Group. He has been with the company for over 20 years.
