Starting February 2, New England Public Media is welcoming journalist Carrie Saldo to its lineup with a new weekly radio show and podcast, The Rundown with Carrie Saldo. The show promises engaging conversations with reporters from across western Massachusetts.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has elected Paramount President of US Distribution Ray Hopkins to its Board of Directors, adding another veteran leader to the nonprofit’s mission of supporting broadcasters in need.

CMG Atlanta is adding a live and local voice to WSRV-FM The River. English Nick is the new night host for the station. Nick has been weekend and fill-in host on The River for four years. Prior to joining CMG in 2011, Nick worked at other Atlanta rock stations including WNNX, 99X, and 96 Rock.

Cody Welling takes over as Director of Sales November 9 for Cox Media Group, Tulsa. Welling most recently served as the GSM for the Ohio News Network and 97.1 The Fan (WBNS-FM)

Former NAB Joint Board Chairman, and Commonwealth Broadcasting CEO, Steve Newberry has joined the NAB as Executive Vice President for Strategic Planning/Special Projects. Newberry has been a Washington-based communications consultant since 2015. He served as chairman of NAB’s Joint Board of Directors from 2009 to 2011.

Long-time 104.7 The Fish (WFSH-FM) radio personality Parks Stamper is retiring. She will end her midday program on the Salem Media Group station February 25.

This week Compass Media Networks host Gordon Deal celebrates his 15th year as host of This Morning –America’s First News with Gordon Deal. And, Deal is now heard on 300 stations across the country.

Jim Clerkin is the new PD and PM driver for Summitt's new Birmingham radio station WPYA, 97.3 Play. Clerkin spent 16 years in Boston at the legendary Kiss 108.

Jordan Alamat can now be heard evenings on 93X/KXXR-FM Minneapolis. He joins the Cumulus station after being on the air at other Twin Cities stations KQGO, KZGO and KDWB.

As of July 31, Mark Turcotte will be the new General Sales Manager for CMG Atlanta. For the past seven years, Turcotte has been GSM for Midwest Communications in Nashville. He's worked in Atlanta before as the National Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager at CBS' WZGC-FM. He also had a run as the Atlanta-based NSM for CMG Radio's then-Birmingham stations.
