iHeart Tampa Dumps Classic Rock For Hip Hop
The flip occurs on two translators that listeners can pick up on 94.5 and 105.9 in Tampa. The Throwback Hip Hop and R&B station launches with 20,000 commercial-free songs in a row and Market President Sam Nein says the flip is the perfect holiday gift for local listeners. “We’ve seen Tampa Bay’s passion for hip hop and R&B through on-air requests and downloads, and we’re excited to bring these hits to our listeners.”
FAST Break As Multicultural Podcaster reVolver Arrives On Roku
reVolver Podcasts has announced a collaboration with Roku to bring a diverse range of multicultural podcasts to the platform. The collaboration includes the launch of Podcast Free Ad-Supported Television channels, developed jointly with Adori.
Howard Stays With SiriusXM
The new five year deal includes the development of a new app so fans can see the show via stream and download archives of the show. Howard says he's "jazzed and excited."

KRMG Tulsa, Oklahoma host Russell Mills joined the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight Today to document the trip. The Honor Flight Program provides veterans a free, one-day trip to Washington D.C. to visit memorials constructed in honor of their service.
Flashback: Garziglia Predicted FCC Would Punt
In his May 26 blog entitled "Court Chides FCC For Not Doing Its Job," Broadcast attorney John Garziglia predicted the FCC might just take the easy way out and basically do nothing to the ownership rules. And, for sure, The Commission did nearly exactly what Garziglia opined last month. He also wrote about what the court might do if the Commission did decide to do nothing.
Beasley Host Passes at Age 62
Jeff Anderson hosted nights on KKLZ-FM in Las Vegas. He died Friday, October 9. The company says it was due to health-related complications. Anderson worked in the Las Vegas market for 25 years and was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame in 2008.
Steiner Headed To New Orleans
Brad Steiner will program three of Cumulus' four stations in New Orleans. He will now oversee programming for Alt 92.3/WZRH-FM, NASH Icon 106.1/WRKN-FM, and 106.7 The Krewe/KKND-FM.
Date Set For Radio Cares
The second annual Independent Broadcasters Association/Feeding America Radio Cares – Feeding America drive is set for April 14. This year’s event will be produced by Benztown, with assistance from McVay Media and the Vipology team.
