2024’s Arrival Was The End For Five Oregon Coast Radio Stations
As the clock struck midnight on January 1, Oregon's Yaquina Bay Communications ceased operation. The company was foreclosed on in August, following a lawsuit from Oregon Coast Bank. The bank was the sole bidder at a sheriff's sale on December 5.
Toni-Marie Joins The Wolf
Toni-Marie has been named Assistant Program Director for 99.5 The Wolf (KWJJ-FM) in Portland. She will also host the midday drive from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT. Prior to joining Entercom, Toni-Marie worked for Buck Owens Production Company.
New VP of Sales For Beasley
Tina Murley has been promoted to Vice President of Sales at Beasley Media Group. Murley has served as Director of Sales of the company’s Boston-based radio cluster since 2014. This is a newly created position for the company.

Charlamagne Tha God and iHeartRadio held the first-ever Black Effect Podcast Festival on April 22 in Atlanta, GA. The festival showcased Black voices in the podcast industry and included live podcast recordings from popular shows.
West Nile Virus Claims Life Of Missouri Radio GM and Air Talent
Donze Communications' Classic Rock 93.1 (KBDZ) in Perryville, MO, is mourning the loss of General Manager and morning personality Kevin “Kevy Kev” Russell, who died after a five-week battle with West Nile Virus. The station shared the news on Facebook last week.

McLaughlin Gets One-Hour Show
Hubbard St. Louis has announced that Dan McLaughlin of Fox Sports Midwest has joined 101 ESPN (WXOS-FM) as the station’s lead St. Louis Cardinals contributor. McLaughlin will provide daily Cardinals reports, interviews, and host a one-hour weekly show on the Cards.

Savannah will join WKSS-FM Hartford as part of the "Courtney and KISS Morning Show". Savannah is no stranger to iHeartMedia Connecticut holding several positions, before starting her own social media management company.

NYC Student Wins BMI Award
Columbia University student Bekah Mulberg is the winner of the fourth annual BMI Founders Award for Radio Broadcasting scholarship competition. The award will be presented by BMI's Dan Spears at the 44th annual Conclave Learning Conference on June 20 in Minneapolis.
