KTCK Hits a Home Run For Local Shelter
SportsRadio 1310/96.7 The Ticket (KTCK-FM) in Dallas/Ft. Worth raised over $540,000 for the Austin Street Center during the Normathon series of events from December 7 through December 26. Normathon began with Twelve Days of Christmas leading up to the 18-hour broadcast on Tuesday, December 26.
Roker/Roberts Host BFOA Dinner
The hosts for this year's Broadcasters Foundation of America Golden Mike Award dinner will be husband and wife broadcasters Al Roker and Deborah Roberts. The event will take place Monday, March 14, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Bonneville Selling KMVP-AM
The buyer of the Phoenix station is The Farmworker Educational Network (The Cesar Chavez Foundation), a California company that also owns radio stations in Arizona, California, Nevada and Washington. KMVP is currently airing a Gospel format. No price was given for this sale. Kalil and Company was the exclusive broker on the deal.

Red Wolf Broadcasting purchases the five stations from Jeff Warshaw's company. The stations changing hands are WDRC-AM, WDRCFM, Hartford, CT, WSNG, Torrington, WMMW, Meriden, and MOD 102 (W272DO) New Haven. Red Wolf will take over operations immediately under an LMA.
