As we've been hinting for over a week, Entercom will carry New York Mets baseball on WCBS-AM starting with the 2019 season. iHeart had been carrying the games on WOR-AM. The new Mets deal with Entercom runs through the 2025 season.

In St. Louis, New Country 92.3’s Mason and Remy are “Hitting Balls for Hurricane Relief” to raise money for the Humane Society of Missouri’s animal rescue efforts in the Carolinas. The event will take place for 14 straight hours on Tuesday, September 18 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Top Golf Entertainment Center in the Chesterfield Valley.

iHeartMedia Charlotte and all of its stations will partner with Operation Northstate to host a donation drive for the victims of Hurricane Florence in Jacksonville and Fayetteville, NC. The collection drive will run Monday, September 17 through end of day Monday, September 24. Items will be collected daily 10 a.m.–6 p.m. 

Vladimir “DJ Loui Vee” Scott has been named Program Director for REAL 98.3/Indianapolis and REAL 93.1/Louisville. He will report to Mike Killabrew, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Indianapolis. 

Benztown has launched TNT Stripped Bare, a customized version of the syndicated show The Todd-N-Tyler Radio Empire. Benztown's VP Masa Patterson says this new version of the show is the perfect way for stations to tap into the massive ratings TNT delivers, while keeping the flexibility to play their own music, too.

The 18th Annual Power of Urban Radio Forum, being held October 4 in Washington, DC, will feature a keynote address by Marc Pritchard, the Chief Brand Officer of Procter and Gamble. Pritchard is also receiving the 2018 Power of Urban Radio National Service Award. The Power of Urban Radio Forum focuses on the $1.5 trillion black consumer market.
