Salem Media Group has confirmed a renewed agreement with nationally syndicated host Dennis Prager on the Salem Radio Network. With that contract agreement, comes a significant shortening of the PragerU founder's show starting in February.

Entercom has hired Alex Silverman as PD for KYW Newsradio (KYW-AM) in Philadelphia. Silverman had been APD for News and Programming at WCBS Newsradio 880 (WCBS-AM) in New York, also owned by Entercom.

Longtime KMJ Fresno host Ray Appleton criticized how the media was covering the Capitol Hill riots by saying on his show that “certain news editors should be hanged ... maybe.”

Townsquare Media's "local first" digital approach carried them to a 2023 Q1 that outperformed expectations, despite a net loss. With more than half of Townsquare's quarterly income attributed to digital, CEO Bill Wilson said Townsquare Ignite was in the driver's seat.

Despite a few big brand marketers stating they are reevaluating their digital ad spending, it doesn't seem to be stopping the flow of dollars to digital in any way. According to new data released by BIA/Kelsey, small and medium-sized businesses plan to spend 62.2% of their ad budget on some form of digital in 2018 -- that's up six percent over 2015.

Key Networks says WABC in New York will now air Bill O'Reilly's daily morning drive feature, The O’Reilly Update – Morning Edition. Between the Morning Edition update and The O'Reilly Update, the former Fox News host is now heard on over 200 radio stations.  

The Chicago-Sun Times is reporting that the NFL's Chicago Bears will be looking for another station after the conclusion of this coming NFL season. The paper says Auadacy is losing money airing the games on WBBM-AM and WCFS-FM.

Maggie Corry, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee’s membership manager for the last three years, has been named the non-commercial station’s Development Director. Before going to 88Nine, Corry served as a fundraising consultant.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has named Dr. Stephen Wilkins as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. For the past several years, Dr. Wilkins served as Chief Human Resources Officer and later as Chief of Staff at Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, Virginia.

Starting February 2, New England Public Media is welcoming journalist Carrie Saldo to its lineup with a new weekly radio show and podcast, The Rundown with Carrie Saldo. The show promises engaging conversations with reporters from across western Massachusetts.
