How Much 2017 Revenue Has CBS Radio Generated So Far?

CBS Radio revenue was $555.6 million in the first six months of 2017, according to the latest Entercom filing at the FCC. That's down from $577.1 million in 2016. Operating income over that six months was $90 million compared to $137.4 million in 2016. The document says CBS Radio has $1.36 billion in debt and $4.33 billion in total assets.

Did You See What These Two Entercom Hosts Did?

Entercom Kansas City sports talkers Danny Parkins and Carrington Harrison of KCSP-AM were slightly unhappy that their hometown Kansas City Chiefs picked Tyreek Hill in the recent NFL draft. Last year, Hill pleaded guilty to punching and choking his pregnant girlfriend and received three years probation for the crime. Parkins and Harrison chose the power of radio -- and the loyalty of a radio audience -- to turn what they believed was a negative into a very big positive.

Cumulus, Benztown Staying Together

Imaging company Benztown has signed a multi-year extension with Cumulus and Westwood One. Under the new deal, Benztown will provide imaging, production, voiceover, programming, and jingles to Westwood and to Cumulus stations. The companies have been working together since 2011.
