Sports Radio is back in Tallahassee. iHeartMedia Tallahassee flipped its Classic Hip-Hop Throwback 96.5 (1270 WTLY/96.5 W243EG) to 96.5 The Spear. The station is an AM signal with an FM translator.

The RAB, in conjunction with BMI and Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, has completed its 14th annual Rising Through the Ranks program, which began with a virtual session August 2, and continued with in-person meetings on August 9-11 at BMI in Nashville.

A Record-Setting 261 Hour Broadcast 

KAPA, Hawaii Afternoon Drive Host, Tommy “Kahikina” Ching set a new world record for a continuous radio broadcast by remaining on the air for 261 consecutive hours. He also raised more than $50,000 for Hawaii Island United Way.

KFI-AM 640 in Los Angeles has launched season three of “Unsolved with Steve Gregory”. The weekly true crime podcast series features cold cases, challenging cases, missing persons, and high-profile criminals.

QCODE Premiers New Content

QCODE content studio and podcast network has expanded its development slate to include unscripted podcasts. As part of the announcement, a comedic true crime podcast and a relationship advice podcast are premiering, and plans are in the works for an upcoming educational entertainment series.
