New York FM Sells For Only $9 Million

Univision Radio is selling WQBU-FM in Garden City, New York to Family Stations for $9 million. In 2003, When the call letters were WLIR, Univision purchased the station from from John Caracciolo for $60 million.

The station is a 2 KW serving western Long Island and New York City. The format is Spanish AC.

Family Stations is a California-based company headed by Thomas Evans.

Family Stations is a non-profit, non-denominational, educational Christian radio network

KALIL & CO. represented the seller in the deal.
