WYKB-FM, Jacksonville, FL will be launching a Latin Urban format on its latest acquisition. Norsan already owns WNNR-AM & WVOJ-AM, and co-owns WEWC-AM & WJXR-FM.
“We continue to look for ways to engage with the growing Hispanic audience in the US and markets have an appetite for more options on the genres of music we provide, the new station will fill a gap in the Latin Urban genre in the city” said Natalia Sanchez, President.
“We have a special connection to Jacksonville since this is where we launched our first radio station, we have been researching the market for some time and believe now is the right time to expand there,” said Norberto Sanchez, CEO.
The company currently owns and operates both Latin Pop/Tropical and Regional Mexican stations in Jacksonville.
Norsan Media is based in Charlotte, NC and currently owns over 30 radio stations, three television stations, a weekly regional digital and printed publications in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Texas.
