The Birmingham Board of Education held a special election this week to fill a vacant seat. WJLD host Walter “Big Walt” Wilson host won with more than 62 percent of the vote. Wilson received 480 out of 767 votes cast. WJLD AM/FM is owned by Richardson Broadcasting.
