Co-Host Role For Spokane News Vet

Teresa Lukens will take over as the new co-host of the 920 News Now morning show on KXLY-AM in Spokane at the end of August. Lukens has been a fixture in broadcast journalism in Spokane for 20 years.

Lukens career includes work as a host for Classy 99.9 FM, a reporter for KXLY TV’s Good Morning Northwest, some time hosting a health program on Spokane Public TV, KSPS and anchor for the weekday morning news on KXLY.

Lukens takes over the co-host reins August 31.

  1. Good! Now I can go back to just listening to KXLY instead of bouncing between KQNT in the morning and KXLY in the afternoon. I miss listening to Fitz in the truck or tractor. Hopefully KXLY learned from their mistake letting her go ten years ago. A very pleasant woman to listen too. She always made you feel she was in the machine with you having a personal conversation. The list of people that could do that is short: Paul Harvey and Fitz were two of the very few. Never offensive. Honest and truthful reporting and revealing their personal opinions only when appropriate. Doesn’t make as much money though.
