Grant Napear is sidelined from his Sacramento radio show on KHTK-AM for a comment he posted to Twitter after former player DeMarcus Cousins asked Napear what he thought of the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Napear responded in all caps: “ALL LIVES MATTER.”
According to Yahoo Sports, Cousins responded that “all lives matter” is commonly used to shut down black Americans as they urge awareness around police violence against their community.

The Sacramento Bee reported that KHTK’s Jason Ross announced the suspension at the start of “The Grant Napear Show” Monday. “Grant Napear has been placed on administrative leave while we are investigating the statement that was made on Twitter.”

Napear then tweeted out a response:

  1. Total and complete BS. He should sue. He has a good case.

“According to Yahoo Sports, Cousins responded that “all lives matter” is commonly used to shut down black Americans as they urge awareness around police violence against their community.” More BS. ALL lives do matter. The issue is dividing ALL of us. My life matters, your life matters, ALL live matter. A very simple concept. Lack of knowledge of the English language is no excuse.

    • All lives do not matter equally. An African American sports talk host in San Francisco said that he and a white associate were stopped by police because they were smoking weed. Both had baggies that justified arrest. The white guy, whose ID indicated he lived in the all white suburbs was let go while the African American host said he was arrested.

On a life and death issue, there are several websites where white officers in white communities are very patient in confrontations with whites who have deadly weapons, but police have much less patience regarding the use deadly force to resolve the situation when the person with the “deadly weapon” are black or brown. Often with the “deadly weapon” turning out to be a pocket knife, cell phone or other shiny item, with potentially deadly confrontations between police and non whites instigated by people like Central Park Amy who make up lies about black people doing everything things like studying, barbecuing or waiting for friends at Starbucks. I can cite many other situations of the old saying “If you’re white you’re alright, if you’re brown stick around but if you’re black, get back.”
