KFEQ has a once-in-a-generation opportunity as one of the nation’s most prestigious agriculture stations seeks an energetic, hard-working communicator to become its next Farm Director.
This is one of the most important positions at KFEQ and comes with big shoes to fill, continuing the legacy of Missouri Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame inductee, Gene Millard, and current President of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, Tom Brand.

Candidates must have the skill to communicate markets, market trends, and the latest agricultural news to the diverse agricultural community of northwest Missouri, northeast Kansas, as well as southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
The Farm Director at KFEQ must be able to cover local, regional, and national agricultural news and communicate to the audience in an authoritative, yet conversational style.

…an education in broadcasting or communications
…experience as a farm broadcaster
…the ability to write well
…the skill to conduct long-form interviews for broadcast as well as interviews to be edited for broadcast and for our website
…the flexibility to handle duties in studio and out in the field, whether on the farm or at a convention
…the energy and desire to cut through the clutter and get to the essence of the story, and effectively communicate that to our audience
…the demeanor necessary to convey professionalism in public.
