WMAL Raises Over $500K For Service Members

WMAL-FM/Washington, DC, listeners donated $523,866 during the station’s two-day radiothon, Dec. 5 and 6, to benefit the Fisher House Foundation. The foundation provides temporary housing and support for families of injured service members at more than 85 houses across the country.

“The generosity of our listeners cannot be overstated,” said WMAL PD Bill Hess. “The stories of families and service members served by Fisher House truly touched our listeners and they responded in an unprecedented way.”

Over past 17 years, WMAL listeners have donated over $7 million to the Fisher House Foundation.
