Barrett Sports Media has added WFAN afternoon drive host Mike Francesa to the 2020 BSM Summit in New York City. Francesa is one of sports radio’s most successful on-air personalities. He will take part in a one-on-one conversation with BSM President Jason Barrett.
“For the past three decades, Mike Francesa has been an integral part of WFAN’s success,” said BSM President Jason Barrett. “He has been, and remains, one of the industry’s most important personalities, helping the format cement its position with listeners and advertisers, even as ratings measurement, station ownership, and his afternoon radio show experienced change. To have Mike in attendance sharing his insights on a variety of industry issues will be a real treat for our attendees.”
BSM also announced the details of a newly created third award for the show. The Mark Chernoff Program Director of the Year Award will be given to the sports radio format’s top programmer as voted on by BSM and a select panel.
BSM will once again hold award ceremonies for the Jeff Smulyan Award and Tony Bruno Award. Both Smulyan and Bruno will be in attendance for the event.
