Interesting days in the world of national radio advertising as evidenced again by this week’s Media Monitors chart. After two weeks back at the top of the chart of leading advertisers, The Home Depot slipped down again, this time to sixth spot with 28,569 ads run nationally. Meanwhile, Depot’s perennial rival GEICO rose from third spot back to the top of the list, running 53,687 ads. AutoZone jumped to second place with 31,299 spots. Indeed was third (30,776), Progressive fourth (29,445), and McDonald’s (28,915) was fifth. There were no big surges from “outlying” advertisers, with the top regions of the chart inhabited by familiar faces.
