KNKX Seattle Opens New Downtown Studios

Three years ago the future of what was then called KPLU was in doubt when Pacific Lutheran University planned to sell the station to the University of Washington’s KUOW. Listeners to the 53-year old station objected and a campaign to buy the station was launched. $8 million was raised to save the station which is now KNKX. As KIRO TV reports, this past weekend brand new downtown studios were unveiled for the public to see.
