iHeartMedia executives held a quarterly earnings call for the first time since before the company filed for bankruptcy in early 2018. Q2 revenue was up $21.6 million, or 2.4%, over Q2 2018. Digital revenue jumped $22.5 million thanks to podcasting and the addition of Stuff Media, which iHeart bought in late 2018.

Spot revenue was down $7.8 million in the quarter for iHeart, primarily driven by an $8.1 million decrease in political revenue. Programmatic revenue was up from national advertisers. Revenue from Premiere and Total Traffic & Weather increased $8.9 million.

Through the first six months iHeart’s revenue is up $44.6 million or 2.7%.
