GEICO Closes The Gap


After a couple of weeks of being way out in front, Home Depot can again see GEICO in its rear view mirror on the list of radio’s top advertisers, as reported by Media Monitors. The Depot came down from the heavens a little last week, airing 62,873 spots across the country, and almost halving its previous week’s number. GEICO had a bounce-back week to reclaim second place with 51,087 ads, while Lowe’s, with 40,828 spots, kept the big boys honest. Rounding out the top five were Walmart (36,483) and Sprint (34,052).
