Stephen Lieberman is the new General Sales Manager of Radio One DC sports station The Team 980 WTEM-AM.
Lieberman started out at the original Sports Talk Radio 570-AM, which is now The Team 980, in 1996. His return brings his career full circle. The veteran sports media executive has more than 23 years of experience in sales and marketing, most recently serving as GSM of NBC Sports Washington. Prior to that, he served as the Local Sales Manager for Disney’s ESPN Radio 1000 (WMVP) in Chicago for five years.
“From his experience as an Adjunct Professor of sports sales at Georgetown University to sports radio management in Chicago and DC, Stephen brings a level of leadership and vision worthy of the great brand that is The Team 980,” said Jeff Wilson, Senior Regional Vice President.
