Entercom’s WJFK-FM “The Fan” in Washington, DC, will remain the flagship home of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, carrying all Caps games plus pre- and postgame shows, as the company and the club agree to extend their partnership. All games will also continue to be streamed on RADIO.COM and thefandc.com. The new extension will run through the 2021 season.

“We are thrilled to bring Capitals hockey to DC’s top-rated sports station 106.7 The Fan,” said Phil Zachary, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Washington DC. “In addition to all games, the station will provide fans with full coverage of their favorite team through premiere programming on-air, online, and on demand. Capitals fans nationwide now have more resources than ever to stay up-to-date with the team and we look forward to continue serving as their hub for everything Capitals.”

The Fan will air a weekly Caps show, Crashing the Net with Tom Daly on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. In addition, there will be weekly interviews with Capitals players, including defenseman John Carlson on Chad Dukes vs. The World, Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m., and forward Brett Connolly on Grant & Danny, Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Morning show The Sports Junkies will feature a bi-weekly interview with head coach Todd Reirden on Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m.
