Broadcast media marketing company Tegna is launching Vault Studios, its first digital content studio offering storytelling from the company’s archive of investigative reports. Starting with podcasts, Vault projects will pull from real-life cases investigated by Tegna’s stable of reporters across 41 markets.

“Engaging with our audiences in new and innovative ways – across multiple platforms – is essential to our growth,” said Adam Ostrow, Tegna’s Chief Digital Officer. “Vault will draw on our decades of outstanding local journalism in areas such as true crime, cold cases, and unsolved mysteries to create new content offerings for today’s digital consumer.”

Vault’s first podcast, Bomber, tells the story of how law enforcement hunted down the 2018 Austin serial bomber and brought 19 days of terror to an end. Hosted by Tegna journalist Jason Puckett, the first episode, “A Loud Boom,” is set to debut Friday, March 15.

A sneak peek of BOMBER was released in tandem with the March 8 premiere of KVUE’s half-hour special Stopping the Austin Bomber, which is currently available to view in its entirety on KVUE.com/AustinBomber and www.statesman.com.

Bomber will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play, Tegna’s digital platforms, and every major listening platform. A new episode will be released every Friday, March 15 – April 19.  Beginning Friday, March 15, visit www.bomberpodcast.com for more information.
