Merrimack Valley on-air personality Win Damon, delivers the show over Haverhill, MA-based 97.9 WHAV FM. The 6-9 a.m., weekday program will feature local news, weather, sports, traffic, prizes, and more. Getting up early and informing Merrimack Valley listeners is something Damon’s been doing it for nearly 30 years.
Damon and his father Henry bought Newburyport, MA’s WNBP in 1989, and he worked there through changes in ownership until August 2017 when Bloomberg bought the station to air national business news. He then joined WHAV last April, voicing announcements, filling in on the local news desk, and joining the development staff.
“I enjoy WHAV because of its strong commitment to local news and information, and playing music that people enjoy,” Damon said when he joined WHAV last year.
Prior to putting down roots in the Valley, Damon worked on-air and in sales in Manchester and Concord, N.H., Lowell and Rochester, N.Y.
