WGN Radio in Chicago has promoted Kim Gordon to anchor the weekday afternoon drive news. Gordon will assume a role as both a leader in the WGN Radio news room and an essential voice on The Roe Conn Show with Anna Davlantes, heard 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Gordon started her career at WHAS Radio in Louisville, KY, and has been an anchor and reporter at WGN Radio for 12 years. Most recently she was heard anchoring mid-afternoon newscasts on WGN, Amazon’s Alexa Flash Briefings, and MeTV FM News Minutes.
“For more than a decade at WGN, Kim has been a key player in our newsroom and in our hallways. Her ability to gather and deliver news with a Chicago filter makes her the best voice for our afternoon drive team,” said Director of News and Operations Stephanie Tichenor.
