India is a market of 1 Billion people and Spotify plans to launch in that country within the next six months, according to Variety. Spotify recently launched in 13 other markets throughout the Middle East and North Africa and is now in 78 markets. CEO Daniel Ek recently reported that Spotify now has over 80 million subscribers that pay for the service. The company also lost over $460 million in Q2 this year.
