iHeart Announces Post-Bankruptcy Board

Unsurprisingly, iHeart CEO Bob Pittman remains in place as Chairman as iHeartMedia names the members of its post-Chapter 11 board of directors. President/COO/CFO Rich Bressler is also a member of the new board, as are executives from the movie, financial, and other industries.

“We are excited about both the depth and range of our new board members,” Pittman said. “We know our ability to draw on this unique combination of leaders in their respective fields will give us an unparalleled competitive advantage as we build our next level of growth.”

The full lineup also includes former Disney CFO and Sr. EVP Jay Rasulo, who formerly chaired Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. He’ll serve as Lead Independent Director of the new board.

The directors include, along with Bressler, former MGM Chairman/CEO Gary Barber and Brad Gerstner, founder and CEO of Internet-, software-, and travel-focused investment firm Altimeter Capital

Private investor Sean Mahoney, who is also a director at Aptiv plc and Arconic Inc., and at the post-bankruptcy Lehman Brothers, also joins; he’s also been on the boards of Delphi Automotive and Formula One Holdings, and is a former partner at Goldman Sachs.

Completing the new board of directors is Kamakshi Sivaramakrishnan, founder and CEO of Drawbridge, a company that designs algorithms in various areas, including advertising. She is a former Sr. Research Scientist at AdMob, which was acquired by Google in 2010.

iHeartMedia’s current board will remain in place until the company officially emerges from Chapter 11.
