Hubbard’s KSHE Launches First Podcast

0

Here’s a very cool idea for a podcast coming from the folks at Hubbard. KSHE-FM in St. Louis is launching The KSHE Tapes, the station’s first official podcast. The podcast is being hosted by KSHE morning man John Ulett and APD/afternoon drive host Favazz. The duo will explore the back-stories and interviews heard on KSHE over the past 50-plus years. Ulett is a 42-year veteran of KSHE and Favazz has been with the station for 27 years.

The format centers on playing one of the thousands of KSHE artist interviews. John and Favazz then set up the interview and interject themselves during the playback, usually when one of the hosts has a comment or question for the other. John says, “It’s fun bringing back so many great interviews that were buried in storage for so many years. Now they can live forever in the light of day.”

Two podcasts are already in the can. Check them out HERE. One explores a Sammy Hagar interview and the other a Paul McCartney interview. Slash and Duff from Guns n’ Roses will be posted Friday. According to Favazz, “We have some of the biggest interviews in rock waiting in the wings.”

The one downside to the podcast is as soon as you hit “Play” you hear a commercial. Well, it’s radio, the commercials are everywhere.

The KSHE Tapes is recorded every Wednesday and is available every Friday on the Apple Podcast app, Podcast One app, and HERE.
