Alpha Media, N. Dallas-Sherman-McKinney is proud to announce 93.1 Katy Country (KMKT) partnered with Classic of Texoma car dealership to raise $50,000 for the Texoma Back the Badge Foundation with the 2nd Annual Wheeler and Castellanos, Back the Badge Memorial Golf Tournament. Money raised will go to the Texoma Back the Badge Foundation, which was established to help raise awareness and assist in minimizing the financial burden often placed on law enforcement agency employees who experience catastrophic circumstances including illness, serious injury, or death.

93.1 Katy Country Content Director, Zac Grantham said, “The Texoma community is truly amazing when it comes to supporting local law enforcement. I am overwhelmed by our listeners and sponsors generosity. A total of $80,000 has been raised for this cause in just two years.”

The tournament was renamed after two law enforcement officers, Rickey Wheeler and Vinny Castellanos, who lost their battles to cancer earlier this year. Both officers played in the inaugural tournament in 2017.
