TuneIn Keeps Cumulus

1

Cumulus and TuneIn announced Thursday that the two sides have signed a new multi-year contract that will keep Cumulus’ 441 stations on the streaming app. TuneIn will also carry all of Cumulus’ podcasts from the Westwood One Podcast Network. That’s good news for TuneIn, which lost all Entercom stations in June when they moved over to Radio.com exclusively.

Cumulus CEO Mary Berner said, “We understand that consumers engage with content across multiple platforms and devices. We put our listeners first, and we have made it our mission to provide a modern and platform-agnostic listening experience. Expanding our partnership with TuneIn takes our distribution and promotional opportunities to the next level, exposing our portfolio of leading stations, shows and programs to new fans across streaming, podcast, and voice AI technologies.”

Cumulus stations can also be heard on iHeartRadio.

  1. As a result of Entercom’s actions CBS stations will lose ratings among listeners who own small devices as well as laptops & Smartphones as radio.com is difficult to access on many of these devices – In my opinion Entercom made a big mistake & Tunein is also losing listeners over this move by Entercom.
