Alpha Media sent out a press release at 1AM this morning that stated Larry Wilson is stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the company. No reason was given for the change. Wilson, who was ranked 11th on Radio Ink’s 2018 40 Most Powerful People in Radio list, will remain a member of the Board. Company CEO Bob Proffitt said, “Wilson is a respected colleague and pioneer in the broadcast industry. His vision helped craft today’s broadcast and radio landscape.” Alpha will elect a new Chairman at its next scheduled board meeting.
