Beginning last fall, a waitlist for the 2019 Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage cruise started to load up for the 20th anniversary 7-day cruise. The cruise will sail on the Carnival Magic, April 7-14, 2019, from Miami, with port stops in San Juan, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. This adds to the support for Historically Black College and University (HBCU) scholars that benefit from the Tom Joyner Foundation.
Created as a fundraiser to support students enrolled in Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the long-running music and empowerment-themed event generally features more than 60 entertainment acts, seminars, daily inspiration, celebrities, and fun theme nights. Joyner, who previously announced retirement after 25 years as host the Tom Joyner Morning Show, plans to broadcast through December 31, 2019. More than 50,000 passengers have sailed during the 20-year history of the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage.

They might consider doing two Fantastic Voyages a year since it is so popular.
