WideOrbit has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Audio Account Executive to participate in sales, strategy and relationship building for customers using WideOrbit’s streaming platform and programmatic suite of products. Your primary objective is to establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in the streaming, podcasting and digital audio industry and evangelize to them how WideOrbit can help them reach their short term and long-term business goals. You will be the key business consultant and represent WideOrbit’s entire range of company products and services. In order be successful, you will manage expectations around software capabilities, educate customers on our various product offerings, document barriers to product use, and recommend new product features to increase future renewability and reference ability. You will help build WideOrbit’s programmatic supply-side footprint. While you will be responsible for meeting assigned quota, you won’t only be measured on volume alone. Account penetration and balanced growth are important performance measures as well. If you have experience in broadcast media, can take ownership of clients, feel comfortable representing WideOrbit at an executive level, and believe in taking care of our customers first, this could be the right job for you.
Here is what you’ll be doing:
Active prospecting and identifying opportunities to present and sell WO products to customers that don’t currently use them
Maintain and grow relationships with existing and new WO Streaming, On Demand and Programmatic Audio customers and prospects
Increase spending on WideOrbit programmatic & digital products
Work with WO’s demand team to articulate the WO Programmatic story and to help clients monetize inventory
Contribute to the business development of the programmatic and digital platforms
Represent WO at industry events and with thought leadership opportunities
Provide inventory forecasts, optimization suggestions and regular campaign reporting
Independently build and present business updates, quarterly reviews, opportunities, and product values to customer executives and within WideOrbit
Maintain a deep understanding of marketplace business needs, strengths and weaknesses
Serve as the primary escalation path for critical client issues and proactively manage internal and external communication until a solution is provided
Own and manage project initiatives with clear timelines and defined project plans. Lead project calls and maintain logs of project updates
Here is what we’re looking for:
3+ years experience in streaming audio and digital audio programmatic
Deep industry contacts and network within digital audio and radio
Excellent communication and selling skills
Solid knowledge of traditional and programmatic buying/selling
Self-starter curiosity and start-up mind set
Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
This position can be based in any of the US-based WideOrbit offices. NYC preferred. Periodic travel is required.
