In conjunction with the Sanchez appointment, iHeartMedia Boston announced Bill Flaherty as Director of Operations for News, Talk and Sports and will work closely with WBZ NewsRadio 1030 and other Boston Region brands.

Sanchez began his career in Miami before moving to New York City in 1996 to become a news production assistant, writer, and producer for WINS-AM. In addition, his background includes several years as a Director of News and Programming for News, Talk and Sports as well as Spanish CHR stations in Washington, DC.

Sanchez will report to iHeart’s VP for Programming in the Boston region Dylan Sprague, who said, “Rob’s passion for news and talk, coupled with his creativity and bold thinking, make him the perfect choice to lead WBZ NewsRadio 1030, WRKO, and Talk 1200 into a new era.
