Alpha Media, Portland, OR announced that AM Drive anchor Steve Leader and reporter Rosemary Reynolds of KXL both have received Associated Press awards. Leader received the Best Enterprise Reporting award for his series “Walk in the Hood,” a look at the way African-American communities have changed in Portland through two African-American individuals who grew up in the Rose City. Reynolds received the Best Public Service award for her series “Wanted: Foster Parents,” which discussed the 11,000 children that needed some kind of foster care in the state of Oregon.
