Focus 360 To Syndicate Carton

Former WFAN morning show co-host Craig Carton is returning to radio even before his embezzlement case is decided. Focus 360 announced on Wednesday that it will be syndicating Carton & Friends, which launched in March (weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) on the FNTSY Sports streaming network. Carton expects his case to come to trial in October. Syndication of the show begins May 29.

In late 2017, authorities alleged Carton was involved in a concert-ticket scam, with his partner Joseph Meli, which involved ripping off investors millions of dollars. The feds say Carton was using the money to pay off huge gambling debts. Authorities allege the two were running a ponzi-type scheme that took the investors for $3.6 million. Carton allegedly misappropriated another $2 million from one of the investors. Carton says he is innocent of the charges. He resigned from WFAN shortly after the charges were filed.

“We’re delighted to bring Craig Carton back to broadcast radio and be on his team,” noted Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Focus 360. “Craig is a proven ratings winner with a huge fan base. This is a great opportunity for sports radio stations and for advertisers who want to reach an engaged audience. Welcome back, Craig Carton!”

Carton & Friends is produced by the FNTSY Sports Radio Network and is broadcast daily in front of a live audience from Rock & Reilly’s gastropub across from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
