Community Conversation On Securing Our Schools

WTMJ News, Milwaukee, presents a Community Conversation on the safety of local schools following the Parkland, Florida, school shooting. The one-hour special will air Friday, February 23, 3 p.m.-4 p.m. The program will be a forum for listeners and community leaders to discuss last week’s shooting and how local schools are taking action to keep local students safe. WTMJ’s hosts John Mercure and Melissa Barclay will moderate the special. The special will be carried on-air, and streamed at WTMJ.com and through “Facebook Live” at Facebook.com/620wtmj.

“WTMJ is Wisconsin’s Radio Station and we’re honored to provide an on-air town hall for local leaders to discuss the importance of securing area schools,” said Eric Brooks, WTMJ director of programming and news. “It’s our duty to provide a forum on such an important subject which has taken on added urgency following the Parkland shootings.”
