New York Mets flagship station WOR-AM has named Ray Martel the new Executive Producer for Mets broadcasts. Martel has been with WOR for over two years as an Associate Producer of Len Berman in the Morning. Before joining WOR, Martel was a producer at WFAN for 13 years when that station carried the Mets. While there, he produced for Mike Francesa, Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney, and Dana Jacobson.
“I am extremely honored to be the next producer of the Mets broadcasts on 710 WOR,” said Martel. “When I began in broadcasting 20 years ago, one of my first positions was as a board-op working on the Mets broadcasts. It’s amazing to think it’s come full circle two decades later…I can’t wait for the season to start!”
