Radio 103.9 Spreading The Cheer

People in need in New Jersey and New York had a brighter holiday season thanks to the “Radio 103.9 Brings the Holidays to You” community outreach program in December. Radio 103.9 staff stopped at five locations around New York and New Jersey, delivering gifts and spreading holiday cheer to children in the pediatric ward at Harlem Hospital, and families at Room To Grow in Midtown Manhattan, which provides services to babies born to poverty-stricken families. The station also served a holiday lunch to the food insecure at CHiPS Soup Kitchen in Brooklyn, and brought holiday cheer and gifts to servicemen and women oversees, their families and U.S. military veterans through Bonds of Courage in Westfield, NJ.

The program culminated in a big holiday party with presents and all the trimmings for 25 foster children across New York City at Cumulus Media’s Stage 17 performance studio.

Chad Lopez, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-New York, said, “Everyone at Radio 103.9 and Cumulus New York is honored to work within our communities during the holidays for those that need it the most. Local radio awards us this great opportunity to make a difference.”
