Entercom Chicago Country Station US*99 (WUSN-FM) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital joined forces for the US*99 Country Cares For St. Jude Kid’s Radiothon. An eye-popping $723,106 during the two-day event, bringing the total raised locally in 27-years to nearly $27 million dollars. The donations will be allocated to the treatment and elimination of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases at the hospital.

During the two-day Radiothon, US*99 aired 27 hours of programming dedicated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Earlier this week, St. Jude announced a nationwide fundraising campaign called, “This Shirt Saves Lives,” featuring some of the industry’s biggest names and influencers.

“St. Jude is an amazing organization and we at US*99 are honored to partner with them to bring joy to the kids through the generosity of our local community,” said Jimmy de Castro, Entercom Chicago’s Senior Vice President and Market Manager. “It’s important for us to be a part of causes that inspire people. It’s a life-changing experience to get to see St. Jude and meet kids who are fighting for their lives.”
