The Radio One Classic Hip Hop station is now known as “Majic 94.5” and is adding some contemporary artists like Bruno Mars and Beyonce to its playlist. And with the changes comes the return of a big name to Dallas, as Tom Joyner will be heard mornings on the station formerly known as Boom 94.5. DL Hughley, who, like Joyner is syndicated by Reach Media, will be heard in afternoons.
Radio One Dallas VP/GM Tami Honesty says, “We’re excited to bring a fresh, new vibe to the airwaves with Majic. With today’s fast-paced news cycle, the return of Tom Joyner during mornings, and the addition of D.L. Hughley in afternoons, we’ll connect with our listeners on another level, giving us the right balance of music and entertainment.”
Joyner will be heard from 5-9 a.m., while Hughley’s show will air from 2-6 p.m.
