94.7 WQDR/Raleigh’s Q Morning Crew host, Mike Wheless, is celebrating 25 years as host of morning drive. Wheless joined the station in 1988, moving to overnights two years later, and then to morning drive in August 1992. The Q Morning Crew is Wheless, Janie Carothers, and Marty “The One-Man Party,” and they’ve won multiple industry awards, including Country Music Association Personality of the Year and Academy of Country Music Personality of the Year. Wheless’ 25th anniversary will be celebrated on Friday, August 11. The celebration will kick off with the Q Morning Crew’s Hometown Tour in Chapel Hill.
