Philadelphia’s WMGK-FM will broadcast the John DeBella Annual Radiothon live from in front of the National Constitution Center on Friday, June 16, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. DeBella, along with rock stars and musicians, will encourage listeners to call 1-800-678-WMGK (9645) or go to wmgk.com to make a donation. At the same time, the station will conduct a series of eBay auctions accessible via wmgk.com. Auction items include front-row tickets to Jimmy Buffett, autographed items, and “money can’t buy” experiences with national recording artists such as Roger Waters, The Who, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, and Joan Jett.
All combined proceeds will benefit the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) in Philadelphia, whose mission is to provide services, programs, opportunities, and advancement to veterans and their families. Over the past decade, the radiothon has raised over $1 million for local vets.
