Ian “Slacker” Richards is feeling pretty good right now. The APD/MD/afternoon drive host for Detroit’s WDZH-FM/98.7 AMP Radio has just received his promotion to Program Director. Richards will continue to handle afternoon drive, 3-7 p.m. Richards’ career began in Flint, MI, in 2003 as an intern at WQUS-FM. He then moved on to WRCL-FM in Flint as night host and MD, before joining WDZH as a part-time air personality and subsequently working his way up.

Tim Roberts, Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO Detroit, said, “Ian has demonstrated over and over an in-depth knowledge of the Top 40 format, music, and artists. He is also a natural leader both on and off the air for our staff and the WDZH brand.”
