The Hispanic-focused broadcaster reported total revenue for its radio division of $72.8 million in Q4 of 2016, compared to $72.1 million a year earlier. If you back out political, radio would have decreased 3.6% to $66.8 million from $69.3 million. Univision owns 67 radio stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Advertising revenue for Univision’s radio segment in Q4 decreased 1.9% to $67.1 million from $68.4 million a year earlier. After excluding political revenue, advertising revenue for radio decreased 6.9% to $61.1 million from $65.6 million, primarily driven by a decrease in national advertising revenue. Non-advertising revenue for the radio division in Q4 2016 (which was primarily comprised of other contractual revenue) increased to $5.7 million from $3.7 million from the same period in 2015.

Overall total revenue at Univision was up 15% in Q4 2016, and for the full year total revenue went over the $3 billion mark for the first time ever. Non-advertising revenue now makes up 34% of Univision’s total revenue.
